1st ANNUAL IDEA CONTEST
COLLAGE DISPLAY

RVML
Resource Center and Nuwandart Gallery have co-organized the Idea
Contest to benefit Ashland High School students, and to increase
community awareness about the Library and the Gallery.
The
First Annual IDEA CONTEST "Words & Pictures" called
for Essay and Collage submissions from Ashland High School students
to answer one of the following four questions:
*
What is a passion that you long to express (i.e. hobbies, interests)?
Why are you passionate about it?
*
Have you ever learned something “the hard way”. Explain
what happened and what you eventually learned.
*
How would you like to see the world working and what part would
you play in creating that outcome?
*
What are your top priorities in life? How do they impact your
decisions?
Winners
will be announced at an Awards Ceremony open to the public on
Thursday, Dec 4th 7pm at the Ashland High School English Lecture
Hall. Local personality Joanie McGowan will be hosting the ceremony
which will recognize a total of 6 winners (1st,2nd & 3rd in
each category).
All
qualifying COLLAGES will be displayed along with artist statements
at the Nuwandart Gallery during December. Come and see them on
First Friday!!
